This weekend was training trek. In case you were wondering, it was not fun.
Ok, it wasn't anything we didn't expect- well, killing a live chicken was a bit of a surprise (no need to explain the splash of red above). Somewhat hard to swallow for a vegi person.
These people are legit! No messing around with port-o-potties, barbeques, and peach cobbler- all obvious amenities for the Santa Margarita Stake Pioneer Trek I participated in not to long ago! I'm a weenie and "I have no problem with that".
We are ¿excited? for the anticipated 5 days of trudgery come September. Yeehaw!
p.s. that fuzzy animal we are so cautiously taking a picture with is a real, live, proper auzzie wombat!

similar to your experience, we cut up a chicken with bones for the first time today... haha, we're so american!
