THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA! I think I mentioned in my last post we went there with my parents on their last day for some quality sights and quality cable car riding and tobogganing. Well I forgot to mention the instructions that kept us safe throughout our journey. Friends, partake of the wisdom:
The following persons are not allowed to get on the cable car:
Drunkard and people who are insane, people who suffer from habitual abortion and some disabled senior citizens who are not suitable for taking cable cars
Procedures of visit:
Fall into the workers’ command
The following things are prohibited from carrying:
Things which are over length or overweight, animals, and other items
We love China, and their cable car instructions!!!
Did you know Sam Grant Osborne is a STUPTIFYingly good bowler! We were neck and neck on this our Friday afternoon bowl, and he bowled me over with basically 3 strikes on his last bowl. Tell me you wouldn’t be stuptified by that! My last bowl was not quite so impressive, securing my defeat :-(.
As you can tell, we had a really fun weekend with Alex’s lil bros Slambot and Shmosuf. Not only did we bowl, but bowled with nylon socks for hats. We also road bikes with Beijing’s fixed gear bike gang, very cool. Enjoyed various flicks such as Night at the Museum 2 and X-men. Partook of Baskin Robbins ice cream. And swim swam in our posh pool.
Not to mention a crazy party with crazy friends on Saturday night. And no party is complete without an episode of Monk, thanks Mike.
We like China very much, and it’s the family and friends that make it really special- without them I think the pollution sky would be a shade greener (that’s not entirely fair, we’ve had amazing weather the last few weeks, but you know what I mean, figure of speech). Thank you for your fun, love, and inspiration vibes!
ah, so sweet! man i love china and their funny translations too. those always make for a good laugh while you're there and for years to come.
ReplyDeletehey morgan--we have one point and shoot, a little nikon, that we use when we don't wanna risk our big guy but we hardly use it. we only have one nice camera--a nikon SLR. we got it with our wedding gift money, and we want so much more but can't afford it so we're going to have to settle with that guy for a while. we're itching for an upgrade. we got the most basic SLR out there--we just chose what we could afford, honestly. they're wicked expensive. canon rebels are great for starters--and super popular for people that don't know what they're doing for one reason or another but want to learn. we just think nikon is better, but don't really have any good reason haha.
ReplyDeleteoh and p.s. lens, a whole new story. those are so expensive, but our SLR came with the basic 18-55 mm lens
