It happened, my baby is officially 1 year old.

Our most recent excursion to the Orange County zoo happened at the request of Iver's bestie, Sebastian,  who said to his mom "Ivy and Sebbie go to zoo!"

It was a lovely day and the pumpkin patch was a hit.

We celebrated Iver's 1st birthday! (a few weeks early but he won't know the difference)

We built sandcastles and ate cupcakes...well Iver ate sandcastles (literally took bites out of them) while the rest of us ate cupcakes.

Iver was so excited to have all his friends around and he was so happy to be at the beach.

He gets really excited about the water and just charges into the waves, they come and splash him in the face and he just keeps going!

I keep telling Alex I wish I could re-live this last year over and over again.  I'm not ready for my baby to turn into a toddler!  Ready or not he is very much on his way to becoming one!

Hiking/beach going with the Harris' in Santa Monica this weekend.

We sort of got lost on our hike and ended up going quite a bit further than expected, Sally is ONLY 9 months pregnant...so we figured a few more miles wouldn't hurt.  In all seriousness though, it was nothing to her, she is amazing.

Next time we go hiking Sal and Shane will probably be toting 'baby surf' along.

We can't wait for Iver's newest cousin to arrive!!!
